Duck Shooting

Asia is a huge continent with incredible hunting opportunities for the adventurous hunter and traveler, offering some of the World's last unexplored wilderness's where it is still possible to hunt in remote areas for exceptional trophies in beautiful surroundings. Hunts can be arranged across the continent for many species including Ibex, Wolf, Sheep, Tur Urials, Bear, Siberian roe, Maral deer and huge wild Boar.

The Americas offer great hunting to suit all budgets , we can arrange hunts across all the Americas from the great bears of the Artic to the unique species of South America and of course the world famous dove and wildfowl in Argentina. Hunts for the continents sheep ,antelope,deer and predators such as puma and bear are also available to the travelling sports person.

Australia and Oceania is a vast and varied continent offering a range of unusual and interesting hunts for huge Asian Buffalo, chamois, Tur, outstanding Red stags, Fallow deer and other more unusual hunts and cull hunts in some of the continents most remote areas.

I am extremely pleased to have been appointed as the UK shoot representative and booking agent for the 1,100 acre Castle Dillon duck shoot, created by Barry Mills and Willie Heslip. Because I am acting as their representative there are no agency or booking fees added to any of the costs. This is a shoot that I believe has a bright future in the shooting world.

Unlike the the majority of released duck shoots where the Guns are shooting at ducks circling overhead until they either tire or become out of shot, Castle Dillon is a true driven duck shoot.

With some very careful planning of release and feeding ponds Barry and Willie have created an outstanding driven shoot with ducks to rival the high pheasants or partridge you will have shot previously, at an exceptional price and in a very beautiful location and relaxed atmosphere.

The ducks are fed from the release ponds up on to ponds on surrounding hills, some located within woodland. The ducks are flushed up to half a mile from the Guns, who are placed at the optimum distance to ensure the ducks pass at their maximum height, providing shooting that will challenge any team of Guns.

There are also a small number of pheasants and partridge released which adds extra excitement to the drives, but the majority of the shooting will be for high quality driven mallard. The shoot has 12 drives so it is possible to shoot consecutive days at Castle Dillon without repeating any drives, although there are plenty you will want to try again!

Shoot Information and Location

The shoot is located just outside the city of Armagh in Northern Ireland and is close to several good quality hotels and country pubs where guests can stay and enjoy not only the shooting but the famous "Irish Craik" after a days great sport.

Days from 250 birds a day are available throughout the season.

Teams of up to 10 Guns and individuals are very welcome to join us to enjoy these outstanding driven ducks from September to January. Days will be tailored to your requirements.

Lead shot is allowed on the shoot and can be purchased from the shoot at cost on the day.

All relevant permits and licenses will be supplied by the shoot.

The days include refreshments and a meal at the end of the day.

Airport transfers can be arranged for Guests, who can fly direct to Belfast International airport.
