The numbers and quality of trophies taken in Iran is excellent. Iran is home to several unique species which cannot be hunted anywhere else in the world, such as the Transcaspian Urial, the Armenian Mouflon, the Esfahan Mouflon and the Laristan Sheep. Other species such as the Red, Shiraz, Kavir, Kerman, Arak Sheep and Desert Urial emerged as a result of crossbreeding and their names are mostly taken from their home regions.
